![]() ![]() Statement number 2: Everyone is the same. Statement number 1: Everyone is different. ![]() They will seem contradictory but I think we need to acknowledge both if we’re going to witness well. In fact, such questions will be greatly intensified, as we’ll see. Each encounter will be different and all those questions which began the article will come into play. This means that evangelism can never be ‘one size fits all’. It certainly involves doctrines but God does not beam down pure theology onto the unsuspecting. 2:8).Įvangelism is not a doctrine download. Yet this ‘shadow boxing’ bears no resemblance to the real thing and it is disastrously divorced from the sharing of life which must accompany the sharing of the gospel (1 Thess. In my head I’m able to concoct lengthy dialogues in which I trounce my unfortunate ‘opponent’, leaving them convinced of Jesus’ Lordship (not to mention my own unquestioned brilliance). Those complications can be frustrating for folks like me who love to imagine ideal evangelistic encounters. Our lives of witness consist of messy circumstances and complicated people. Most weeks someone asks me a question like this and, to be honest, most days I ask myself a similar question: How can I best communicate Jesus to this person? We never evangelise into thin air – there’s always an audience, always a conversation, always a context. What’s the best approach with the new age? What’s a good resource for understanding Islam?

![]() Approve their control via the host tab and ask them to press a button and their controller should mount on your PC, they should now also see whatever is on your screen. Update your Titan One to latest firmware using the GTuner Pro Titan One software available for download and install MaxAim DI plugin for GTuner on your PC - from there you will need to set your Titan one in the GTuner settings to match the console type you are using, and use MaxAim Di to create a button mapping with your Xbox controller - it will ask you to connect a game controller, please note that Parsec needs an Xinput controller (Xbox), so if you only have a PS4 controller, use DS4Windows to enable Xinput. These instructions are going to show you how to share these games to your friends with a Mac or PC, over the internet. Local multiplayer games like Cuphead and Overcooked are an awesome way for you to get together with your friends at home and play video games together, but what happens when your friends don’t live close by? You miss out on a very good co play experience. Still, it was a very cool experiment and it helped me understand some aspects of online multiplayer, in why games don't use the full visual layer as a sync point for online multiplayer, etc etc.Another Parsec hack from your favorite tinkerer, James Stringer! I'd say going forward, If I really REALLY want to get a multiplayer Swith game going in the future, I'd probably try my hand at getting YUZU + PARSEC to work instead. Instead of the HD60, I used a 4K60 and for capture, I found that I was able to reduce some of the input latency by using OBS and maximizing that preview window instead of the Elgato 4K Utility. That encoding process is why you don't game using the preview window.Īs a note, yes, I did buy a Titan One specifically to try this and we did get it working in Mario Maker 2. The reason being is that Elgato has to encode the incoming video in realtime which takes a lot of processing power, then when it's ready, display it to a monitor source (preview). It's the visual feedback that is the problem. Through my testing and thanks to how excellent PARSEC is, I found that input does transmit at near one to one using the Titan One. Obviously this isn't much of a problem for casual style games, but for platformers like Mario Maker 2, that slight visual lag can make or break a jump almost automatically giving player one the advantage and better experience overall. Add to that the distance factor from a friend, and your individual internet connections, and you could have an input mess for player two. ![]() You can reduce it some, but it will always be there. By definition, this violates the need of the passthrough port of the capture card because their sole purpose is for gameplay since the Preview will ALWAYS add a few milliseconds delay. The method requires that you set the Game Preview window from Elgato as the player 2's video feed. Here's the thing about this method should anyone stumble upon this post in the future. ![]() This is by far one of the better tables that Zen Studios has released and any fan of Portal should pick it up right away. My pinball skills might need a little work. There is so much to uncover in this table that good ol’ Cave might actually make an appearance, (since many Portal 2 elements are present) but after playing for a while I never came across him. The only omission that I have noticed is that there are no quotes or assets from Portal 2’s Cave Johnson which by far was one of the funniest things I remember from playing that game. As with their other tables, you get perfect renditions of the characters and settings with an excellent soundtrack that is reminiscent of the original Aperture Science adventures. The graphics are just what you should expect from Zen Studios. Sometimes you can even shoot the ball into open portals and emerge at a different part of the table, so your reflexes will be tested often. ![]() The play field is designed to look exactly like the settings in the Portal games, complete with turrets, companion cubes and even secret alleyways that can open up mini high scoring areas like the Ratman’s chamber. Portal 2’s Wheatley also makes an appearance and provides some fantastic comedy (and some nice jabs) as you play. From the moment you launch the ball, you are thrust back into the world of Portal, with psychotic GLaDOS watching your every flipper move. However, unlike a real table, Zen Pinball can add great animations throughout the table, and the Portal table is no exception. So, Zen Studios has stepped in, and while they haven’t brought another complete Portal experience, they have brought us a fantastic Pinball table based on the franchise!Īs with all Zen Pinball/Pinball FX2 tables, you are guaranteed to get a true to life Pinball experience without having a real table in your house. With Portal 2, the quirky puzzle adventure series came to a close and fans were left wanting more. Portal and its successful sequel are original puzzle games by Valve that challenged players to solve puzzles and traps using Portal technology while being accosted by a homicidal A.I. If you’ve been living under a rock since 2007, you may have never heard of the Portal franchise. |
